We also hope that it's pretty obvious that our content is targeted at people interested in teaching, studying, volunteering, interning, and going on gap year programs abroad (this list keeps getting bigger!).
If you would like to write for Go Overseas, it’s a great way to share your knowledge, establish your authority, add to your portfolio, and get links to your own blog/social media. If you have a story idea, email it to the appropriate contact (see below). See our articles for examples.

Country and City Guides
We are currently looking for writers for our Official Go Overseas Guides to Volunteering, Teaching, Studying, taking a Gap Year or Interning Abroad in every country and city.
The guides will service as an authoritative source for anyone thinking of volunteering/interning/studying/teaching/taking a gap year in this country. After reading this, the audience should have a good idea about the types of opportunities available and the life of a volunteer/teacher/student/intern in this destination. They should also know exactly where to get started with their research!
If you are interested in writing a guide article for us, let us know your country of expertise and type of travel and we will send you the guidelines! Use the contact form at the bottom of this page and select the Guest Writer category to inquire about writing a country/city guide.
Day in the Life
If you've been on a program abroad, share your first-hand experiences with a specific organization. Day in the life articles allow readers to have a clear and vibrant picture of what the day to day life of a volunteer/teacher/intern/student is like in a specific country/city. Use this as a great way to grab your readers’ attention with an entertaining anecdote or fun story that also gives an idea of life in this country for a foreign volunteer/teacher/student/intern. Keep in mind you need to answer the question: What will life be like as a volunteer/teacher/student/intern? Let the readers feel like they are there with you - describe scenes with all five senses.
Use the contact form at the bottom of this page and select the Guest Writer category to inquire about writing a Day in the Life article.
Reviews and Interviews
Have you been on a program abroad? Reviews and interviews are the easiest way to contribute to Go Overseas. Find your program and leave a review.
Interviews consist of a few simple questions submitted via email that would be featured on our site. Your answers would definitely be appreciated by others thinking about traveling on a program abroad.
