Go Overseas Celebrates Summer Birthdays!

The Go Overseas staff was excited to take part in the birthday celebrations of two of our awesome summer interns, Ankita and Timothy. Cookies and cupcakes made for a sweet treat to cap off our Friday pizza-and-business-development lunches. Both Ankita and Timothy are excited for their last years as teenagers and their second year at UC Berkeley.

Ankita's been working hard for the Volunteer Abroad team, consistently delivering excellent content, whereas Timothy is our resident Google Adwords and Analytics expert! Their presence has boosted our team morale/productivity/sugar consumption and it's been a joy to have them in the office.

Our 'Birthday Song' chorus sounded pretty good despite Andrew's off key singing.

What you don't see: fighting over who got dibs on the red velvet cupcakes.

The Go team has been focusing this summer on increasing our efficiencies in the work place - no more than 6 "gathering spaces" allowed - and by living under the mantra "there's no such thing as multi-tasking!" Some members have been making their way to Bay Area travel-industry events such as Travel Massive and Gogobot's Travel Salon. We're also excited to add Anya to the team as our Graphic Designer!

Summer may be half over but there's still plenty of time for outdoor fun (just don't forget your sunscreen!)
