Program Description

AFS - Gap Year Volunteer Program in Costa Rica

Description:

What isn't there to love about Costa Rica? Home to tropical rainforests and some of the most diverse wildlife, Costa Rica is the ideal location to spend your gap year. AFS places volunteers in a variety of community development projects in Costa Rica. Volunteers stay with a host family and have the opportunity to practice their Spanish on a daily basis. The local AFS chapter also plans some recreational activities for volunteers to enjoy during their time in Costa Rica. One of the most stable nations in Central America, Costa Rica openly welcomes volunteers. If you are ready to get started on a gap year adventure, then visit the AFS website for more information.
