Holding one of the largest populations in the world, India is a unique mix of different languages, cultures and religions. As a volunteer in India, you will have the opportunity to interact with local community members and take part in a variety of community service projects that can last anywhere from 6 months to a year. Long-term gap year volunteering is available through United Planet for citizens and residents of the US and Canada.

Application Process:
1. Contact a United Planet representative for further information about gap year volunteer projects in India and deadlines.
2. Fill out an online enrollment application.
3. Meet your gap year quest coordinator. Your gap year representative for the project of your choosing will contact you for further guidance and help you prepare for your gap year program in India.
