Program Description
Where There Be Dragons - Gap Year Program in the Middle East
This gap year program in the Middle East explores the diversity and intricacy of the Middle East by participating in experiential learning in Jordan, Israel, and Egypt. The program starts in Jordan, as students live in rural home-stays and learn about Arab history and traditions. Part of the program allows students to pair up with local NGO’s and participate in community service projects.
The program moves from Jordan to Israel, where students visit Jerusalem and learn about contemporary issues in the Middle East, along with the diversity of opinions. Students have the opportunity to trace the history of this city, home to a variety of religious events throughout the ages, and a significant factor in the development of contemporary politics in the Middle East. Students also participate in language immersion courses during their gap year program in the Middle East.
Interested students are encouraged to visit the Where There Be Dragons website to learn more about enrolling in this gap year program through Jordan, Israel, and Egypt.
