Ascend International School in Mumbai, India is looking for a dynamic science educator to work in an innovative and collaborative school environment. Must have excellent communication skills, a love of science and a passion for teaching through inquiry. Our science specialist will:

· Collaborate with classroom teachers, our IB PYP Coordinator, and the Design and Technology teacher to design and implement an inquiry based science program for students from Pre-Primary through 5th grade.

· Maintain an engaging laboratory space and team-teach with classroom teachers to provide exciting hands-on science experiences that are integrated with classroom curriculum as well as other specialists.

· Support and design school science programs, such as a student garden and health initiatives.

· Support the planning of site based events such as curriculum nights, curriculum fairs, and showcases of student learning.

· Provide classroom teachers with science resources and activities that are aligned with our integrated teaching philosophy, the IB PYP scope and sequence, and international science standards.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree and/or experience in science or comparable degree
* Instructional experience

Preferred Qualifications:
* Curricula planning experience
* Experience working students ages 3-12
