Research Internship

A day's experience involved arriving at the organization's campus and getting to my desk at 8am. I would immediately get into contact with my supervisor by email whether they were traveling or in town. I would receive my assignment or state my progress on an ongoing assignment. Many of the assignments included in depth work on research reports such as editing and creating bibliographies which immersed me into such interesting topics as women's health in slums and health practices in Africa. It would also include many opportunities to interact with some of the greatest minds in Africa who are looking to advance in the field of research. This work required a lot of patience and willingness and openness to make the experience your own.
