SIT Study Abroad invites you to participate in the Public Health, Race and Human Rights program in Salvador, the capital of the Brazilian state of Bahia. During the program, students will focus on the realities of healthcare policy and delivery systems among the disadvantaged groups of the region. Some emphasis will be on the traditional Afro Brazilian healing practices as well, including those of the Candombre belief system, whom many communities still rely on today.
