The NRCSA invites you to study Spanish abroad in Santiago, Chile. A handful of program options are available to students at the Santiago Language Institute. The Group Program consists of 20 classes per week, and focus heavily on conversation. The Semi-Intensive Tutor Course is also taught at a rate of 20 classes each week, but allows for one-on-one time with the tutor, helping the student to learn at their own pace, which is generally quicker than the group option. A combination Group and Tutor Program is also available, giving the best of both options to one participant.
Also available at the NRCSA Center in Santiago, are volunteer and internship options. Both require that the participant study Spanish for a minimum of 4 weeks prior to their placement. Internships last for a minimum of 8 weeks, and can be in the fields of Marketing, Tourism & Hotel Management, Economy, International Business, Language Teacher (English, French and German), and News Reporter. Volunteer placements last for at least 4 weeks, and placements may be in Health Care; Child Care; Teaching; Women, Men & Elderly; Indigenous Community; and Environmental Care.
