About Program
Study in Prague, the gateway between Eastern and Western Europe, and learn about the region’s incredible cultural and political transformations. At NYU Prague, courses like Modern Dissent in Central Europe: The Art of Defeat and European–American Relations in the 21st Century explore fundamental topics in history and social justice. Classes are taught by politicians and public intellectuals, many of whom were key players in the country’s transition to democracy. NYU Prague staff organize day trips and overnight excursions to historic sites like Kutná Hora, a medieval town and UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its cathedrals, or industrial Ostrava, where students meet members of the town’s Romani population.
