Can't get this from a text book

This study abroad taught me more than many of my classes in college. I learned so much about the people and the businesses in the area. I got to meet with the people and get to know them, laugh about things and learn about their way of life. We had a blast trying out different foods, eating over a lake volcano, ziplining and meeting with several different companies.

I understand global business so much more and learned a great deal about the people. You could never get this from a book, you have to go there to get an experience like I did.

Worth Every Penny!

I really had an awesome time on this trip. Days were busy no doubt, but it was definitely worth it. Most days were filled with AMAZING!!! food, business meetings, tours, and a lot of fun. Not to be misleading, the business meetings get repetitive and boring after a day or two. Many of the companies we went to gave us tours (Chrysler plant-they put out 1 car every minute!); the tours were legit. We ate more food than imaginable, and had some great views of land that was beautiful. We also did some fun things like zip-lining over a coffee plantation. Overall 10 out of 10! You should do it:)

El Salvador

I participated in this study abroad a year ago, but I still remember this great country we visited. We stayed at an amazing all-inclusive beach resort that had the ocean right at our fingertips! We also traveled up into the magnificent mountains and enjoyed the breath taking views from atop! The weather was perfect and the air was so clean. It really allowed you to take in the beauty of this country. We visited many cultural sites like the coffee plantations and the Mayan sites, and best of all we got to go zip-lining down the mountains which offer you the greatest view! The people were so very helpful. If anyone was afraid to zip line then they would ride down with you. It was a great experience and that stood out the most out of all of my memories. We also visited different manufacturers and distributors like Hanes and Coca Cola, and got to visit the university. The professor and students that were with us from El Salvador were also helpful especially if you couldn't speak Spanish, and became really good friends to all of us on the trip. They made us feel very well at home. Language barriers were the only issue I encountered, but it was not a big deal. The whole experience in El Salvador was amazing and the memories will stay with me for a lifetime. The beauty of this country can not be put into words as well as just witnessing it, so chose El Salvador and see all that it has to offer!

El Salvador is beautiful!!

I was a little skeptical at first, but I am so glad that I got to see another part of the world! We were able to visit multiple American companies that have manufacturing locations in Central America. Some of the companies that we were able to visit included: Coca-Cola, Hanes, and Kimberly-Clark. Being able to see the operations side of the foreign locations has given me a better understanding of overall business.

With the business aside...there is an extremely fun and beautiful part to El Salvador. We were able to have lunch on a boat that traveled across a natural made volcanic lake. We also zip-lined through the beautiful Apaneca Canopy.

I felt safe and secure throughout everything that we did...and would definitely return for a second visit! Hope this helps you decide to visit El Salvador!
