HECUA Semester: Scandinavian Urban Studies Term in Norway
The Scandinavian Urban Studies Term (SUST) in Norway revolves around the last 50 years of Norway's rise from one of the poorest countries in Europe to one of the richest in the world. Students will examine the increasing multicultural population of Norway, as well as it's development, government, national identity, politics, and so much more. Courses are held in Oslo at the University of Oslo's International Summer School.
Students will also participate in an internship for 4-6 hours each week with a local company, giving them a chance to be at the forefront of political, cultural, and social debates in Norway today. Though all SUST classes are taught in English, students with some Norwegian language skills have the option of continuing their language courses and taking an additional class in Norwegian. Accommodations are included with the program in a student village, where a monthly stipend is given for food expenses. Go study abroad with HECUA in Oslo, Norway!
