Connect-123 - Social Entrepreneurship Studies in Cape Town
Study abroad next spring semester with Connect-123 in Cape Town, South Africa! The Social Entrepreneurship program is held in the Spring semester at the Faculty of Commerce at the University of Cape Town. The program calls for three interesting required courses, and transfers for 12-16 credits typically.
Experiencing Entrepreneurship is the core course, and it involves students breaking up into groups to form deliverables on a high-impact social development project around Cape Town. Two other courses fill out the rest of the requirements: Business in Context and Entrepreneurial Strategies. Business in Context focuses on the issues that come along with the planet, people, and profit, alongside an introduction to the South African business environment. The Entrepreneurial Strategies course examines the creation and leadership of a venture and the paths that businesses must take in their lifetime.

In all countries, internship opportunities are hosted by local companies, non-profit organizations, schools, research institutes and health care clinics.
