Holbrook Travel 13-day Wildlife & Culture Study Program in Tanzania
Come study abroad in Tanzania with Holbrook Travel! Upon arrival from an overnight flight, students will be transferred to the Arumeru River Lodge in Arusha, which sits in the shadows of Mt. Meru and Mt. Kiliminjaro. (Note that a $100 visa charge is due for each person arriving in Tanzania.) On Day 3, students will explore the Arusha National Park and its wildlife, including the Colobus monkeys and flamingos.
Day 4 begins with a transfer to the Tarangire National Park, followed by an afternoon game drive. During the long dry season, the Tarangire National Park tends to have large populations of zebra, wildebeest, hartebeest, and elephants seeking water. Students will enjoy accommodations at the Tarangire Sopa Lodge at night. Day 5 brings students to Lake Manyara National Park, where they will begin to explore local Tanzanian cultures.
The remainder of the trip includes visits to Ngorongoro, with accommodations at the Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge, and then to Serengeti National Park, with accommodations in a Mobile Tented Camp. During this second leg, students will continue their exploration of the local wildlife, as well as the history and culture of the local people. For more information and a detailed itinerary, potential students are encouraged to visit the Holbrook Travel website!
