sooo i am leaving soon to teach english in taiwan. i have found a job already with what i hope to be a reputable school, but i was wondering if anyone has any advice on good schools to teach in and where i should try and live.
thanks!
I definitely agree! I challenge anyone to stand on a street corner with a map longer than 5 minutes without being offered genuine help in Taiwan.
..but experience the real thing and teach english in china!
a friend of mine in taipei works for a school called kojen i think? anyway, he says its pretty nice and the pay is decent..
there are a lot of good schools in taiwan, but i would say that either Hess or Shane are the best for new teachers. they both have a good support system for new arrived teachers.
(i taught at hess btw, so i do have a little bias there)
good luck!

I have traveled quite a big in China, but the people there are just not nearly as nice and welcoming as those in Taiwan. Sorry! =)
