Join Volunteering India and explore South India! Volunteer placements are located in Bangalore, Mysore, Coorg, Madikeri, and Madurai. There are two volunteer programs in South India: volunteer teaching and volunteering at an orphanage. Volunteering at an orphanage comes with a variety of childcare tasks - from helping with homework to cleaning to assisting the staff to cultural exchange.
Volunteer teachers in South India have the chance to teach in local school or with local NGOs. No teaching qualifications are necessary and teachers are encouraged to use new, innovative techniques. For 4-5 hours per day, volunteer teachers are expected to teach English and a variety of subjects in English to children ranging from age 6 to 16. There is also a 2-week-long, mini-break program that combines these two projects. Visit the Volunteering India website to learn more!
About the provider
An effort, as small as spending time helping others, can go a long way in bringing change in lives of many. The sheer feeling of accomplishment or joy that you get by lending a helping hand to people and organizations can be quite overwhelming.
We at Volunteering India, provide you with the opportunity to participate in projects dealing with health, community development, child education, disadvantaged residents and many more. We aim to improve the living conditions of the locals in India and need your support for doing so. These projects will not only help the less fortunate but also help you as a volunteer to know another culture, may be another language and make new friends for life.
