Account Manager

Berkeley-based Go Overseas is looking for an account manager to join its partner growth team. You’ll be responsible for supporting the content and account management needs of several hundred key partners. Your ultimate goal will be to retain those clients and make their Go Overseas campaigns, and experience, as positive as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Provide phenomenal customer service for all your clients
  • Proactively reach out to your clients to prove value and provide support
  • Expertly address account questions via phone and email with answers that are accurate and easy to understand
  • Help providers get through critical moments with ease by taking a systematic approach to problem-solving and applying a bit of detective work to solve any issue that comes your way
  • Help your team prepare for conferences by researching attendees and scheduling meetings
  • Conduct welcome calls with all new clients to introduce them to yourself and our subscription service
  • Act as a voice for our providers and help us prioritize future enhancements to the Go Overseas platform, services, and systems
  • Advocate for our users (travelers), because it's the most important part of what we do

Requirements

  • You're obsessively organized, detail-oriented, and sincerely empathetic
  • You believe that there really is "no such thing as a stupid question"
  • You're proactive in identifying new opportunities, solving problems, and prioritizing efforts
  • You're a compelling writer who crafts grammatically impeccable emails and you're just as articulate on the phone
  • You’re a confident problem solver and adaptable
  • You're a master of the email inbox
  • You have a BA or BS degree from an accredited university
  • Ideally, you will have a background or strong interest in travel
  • Customer service experience
  • You take an analytical approach to everything you do
  • You love working with people and forming long term relationships with them
  • 1-3 years of professional/office experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with studying, teaching, volunteering, etc. abroad
  • Interest in data and analytics (Google Analytics specifically)
  • Professional account management experience

Benefits

  • Salary range: $40,000 - $50,000 (dependent on experience and skills)
