Are you still fully eligible with an online certification?

I heard that with an online certification many schools in Europe do not recognize your certification.

Hi Sarah! Here is a good resource about online TEFL courses: http://www.gooverseas.com/blog/are-online-tefl-courses-recognized-by-recruiters

Hi Sarah,
You are stating "our" certificate? International TEFL Academy is accredited in the UK and has a Level 5 in TEFL which is recognized worldwide. It has 150 hours of coursework (50% more than the standard) and 20 hours of student teaching (6 is the standard), all classes taught by instructors with a MA or PhD. We have over 10,000 graduates and approximately 30% teach in Europe. If you are looking at TEFL schools that do not meet the international standards (like a lot of online TEFL classes that are designed to just slip you in the door in China or to just volunteer), you are correct, those are not the standards language schools in Europe are looking for.

Take a look at our alumni stories in Europe and worldwide:
http://www.internationalteflacademy.com/alumni-index-of-all-submissions
Or the thousands of our alumni in our private Facebook groups (you can view it but not join until a student) https://www.facebook.com/IntTEFLAcademy/app/190322544333196/
The proof is in the pudding.

btw, here is an article relating to your question: http://www.internationalteflacademy.com/faq/bid/106243/Is-ITA-s-Online-TEFL-Certification-Course-Valid-and-Accredited
