YearOut International Volunteering - Costa Rica Project

At YearOut, we focus on sending volunteers to fun, interesting, and quality placements in a variety of countries. Our Costa Rica program is exciting and rewarding. Our volunteers work at the at the Ostional Sea Turtle Reserve. Ostional is an amazing project dedicated to the protection of sea turtles. Once a month, over the course of three nights, between 3,000 and 10,000 sea turtles arrive on the beach! Volunteers work on the National Wildlife Reserve and patrol the beach during the night to prevent illegal poaching and protect young sea turtles.
YearOut is proud to offer secure, well-organized placements to all our volunteers. We assist prior to departure by offering information sessions, matching new volunteers with former volunteers (within our mentor program) and assisting with all the pre-depature tasks such as booking flights, learning about the destination country and offering advice on how volunteers should prepare for their journey!
