Students wanting to attend Outward Bound with assistance from their 529 or most other College Savings Plan may do so. Thanks to Outward Bound’s partnership with Western State Colorado University, we can accept 529 College Savings Plan through their Extended Studies program and anyone can register – you do not have to be a current Western State Colorado University student. Registration is easy and takes only a few days to process. And, as a result, you will earn academic credit for your Outward Bound outdoor education course. About Program

Ranging from 30 to 81 days, our Ecuador expeditions are unique and challenging adventures. Comprising of sections that take place throughout the West and overseas, students learn to be climbers of rock, ice, canyons and towering peaks. More importantly they will learn how to be the best versions of themselves.

While in Ecuador, students will have the opportunity to complete service projects, experience Ecuadorian culture, and summit ancient volcanic peaks.

Certifications include: Leave No Trace, Wilderness First Aid and/or Wilderness First Responder.
