About Program

From skyscrapers to ancient pagodas and dramatic mountain gorges to seaside port cities, China’s diverse population consists of fifty-six distinct ethnic groups. Immerse yourself in the country’s history and multiculturalism through your travels and daily Mandarin lessons. Begin in the capital city of Beijing, and gain a deeper understanding of Chinese history and culture before heading to a remote section of the Great Wall to stay at a family-run farmhouse inn. Venture to Yunnan Province in Southern China to complete a two-day trek through Tiger Leaping Gorge and spend time in the provencial capital city of Kunming to learn about the most ethnically diverse region in China. Proceed by train to the Guangxi region in rural China to learn Tai Chi, take a cooking lesson, or go spelunking in a limestone cave system. Complete your program in Hong Kong; take in views of the city from a ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui, spend time relaxing on the beach, and hit the bustling night markets of Kowloon.
