About Program
Our summer high school Costa Rica Volunteer Program includes excursions to some of the most ecologically diverse areas in this majestic country - waterfalls, volcanoes, hot springs, rainforests, zip lining and more! One of the highlights of the program is our partner project with a humanitarian foundation to support the local community with hands-on volunteer based projects.
In addition to Spanish classes at a prestigious language school, we also incorporate Language Partners (generally local high school students) who work to enrich language & cultural immersion by providing community integration opportunities and additional practice in conversational Spanish.
Students stay with Costa Rican families during our time in Grecia. Each family is carefully chosen and are native Spanish speakers. You will enjoy meals and spending evenings with your host family in a Costa Rican environment. Interacting with your host family will ensure your level of Spanish greatly improves.

A pioneer of ecotourism, Costa Rica draws many tourists to its extensive series of national parks and other protected areas. Costa Rica began reversing deforestation in the 1990s, and they are moving towards using only renewable energy. Head to the cloud forest, relax on the beautiful beaches, or visit a coffee farm.
