About Program
Your Experiment begins with leadership and activism training in Washington, D.C., before traveling to New Delhi to learn about the country’s history, explore open air markets, and visit Gandhi’s tomb. Advance your leadership skills and knowledge of global health. Through site visits, lectures, and workshops, you will explore equity and health care rights, challenges to gender justice, the political economy of health, caste discrimination, and other issues.
Strengthen your understanding of public health practices by participating in debates, Q&A sessions, and small-group activities and discussions. Consider strategies for community development and health care advocacy within the public health arena as you meet with community leaders, public health specialists, physicians, professors, and grassroots activists.
Try local cuisine and experience Indian daily life through a homestay with a family in a mountain village in the Himalayas.
