About Program

Learn and improve your Spanish skills through full language and cultural immersion on Greenheart Travel’s summer language camp program, in San Jose or Manuel Antonio!

We welcome teen students of all skills, including beginners! Live with a Costa Rican host family and make international friends from around the world, all while learning about the country and culture of Costa Rica. Sign up for a summer you'll never forget!

Program-at-a-Glance:
-Choose between 1-3 week classes
-3 morning classes for 50 minutes Monday through Friday in air-conditioned classrooms
-Schools in 2 locations — San Jose & Manuel Antonio.
-Dynamic and interactive educational methods integrate the use of magazines, cds, discussions on current affairs, surveys, and presentations into the lesson plans
-Students receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course

Greenheart works with partners who have varying levels of what is considered "good mental health". While we cannot change their eligibility conditions, we will work with participants to the best of our abilities in order to get them the program placement they want. We encourage you to discuss your specific situation with us directly, before securing these documents.

2016 Costa Rica Teen Summer Camp

My time in Costa Rica was extremely beneficial in regards to gaining a broader global perspective, gaining valuable language skills, and for experiencing things I had never done before. The Greenheart and Maximo Nivel staff were all super helpful and a joy to work with. The language camp had the perfect balance between classes and fun activities, and it was all done in an atmosphere that promoted the development and enhancement of my language skills. I would recommend this trip to anyone who is interested in developing their Spanish language skills, gaining a deeper understanding of Costa Rican culture, and acting on their sense of adventure by participating in activities such as surfing and zip lining! Overall, this trip was very beneficial and really fun!
