About Program
Work with NGOs to make a difference in this bustling coastal city. Ride camels in the desert. Play soccer on the beach. Learn African batik painting, drumming or dance. This program will take you on unforgettable adventures and also bring you face to face with the realities of poverty on the other side of the world. Here you’ll partner with one of two reputable NGOs: An orphanage called SOS Children’s Village which is supported by Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama, or L’Équipe Aidons les Talibés which works to improve the well-being of minority street children in respectful ways. Your role will involve setting up and helping to run fun social and cultural activities for children of all ages. Through English-language workshops, activities and games, you’ll help vulnerable children develop self-confidence and basic conversational skills as well.
