Located on the banks of the Guadalquivir River in the heart of Andalucía, this enchanting capital city has become one of the most popular study abroad destinations in Spain. After Columbus landed in the Americas in 1492, Sevilla served as the headquarters for all Spanish trade with the New World. Students will fly into Madrid (MAD) where they are met by the ISA resident directors, who guide them through a multi-day orientation excursion in the capital city. Together, they travel south to Sevilla, where the students meet their host-families, visit the ISA office, and begin their classes at Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP). Monday through Friday students attend class and also meet with their ISA resident directors to monitor their progress and discuss the weeks itinerary. On the weekends students travel to places like Conil, Gibralter, Lagos, and Matalascañas!
