About Program

Medical Internship in Nepal is an ideal platform for overseas students from pre-med, medical, and nursing backgrounds. Students joining this program will be placed at local hospitals, both private and government, and medical clinics. The interns will be put under the guidance of professional doctors and nursing staff and they will get to observe and learn about the medical practices in Nepal. This will provide an immense boost to the medical career of the interns while giving an edge to them over their peers back in college.

Medical interns will be paired with local doctors and nurses where they get hands-on clinical experience and get to observe the healthcare system in Nepal. The Healthcare Program is ideally suited for Pre-medical and medical students who need to gain valuable experience which will be beneficial for their medical careers.

Best time at the Medical program in Kathmandu

The program was an eye opening experience and I loved everything about it! Everything was smooth from the booking to landing in Nepal. Uma, Rashmila both were amazing and helped me feel comfortable at home. I got to see different departments at the hospital, which was exciting. The food at home and at local restaurants was amazing and I loved the dal that and momos! I also liked the fact that there is lot of flexibility and you can go around in the evenings to explore the city. I went to Pokhara as well and Uma was kind to arrange a trip for me over the weekend.

Pros
  • Everything really!
  • The hospital Placement
  • The Food and hospitality of Nepalese people

My time in Teku hospital

I learnt about this program from my uni campus and past participants. The program was easy to book and Shalini was a great help and I meet her to clear my doubts before putting in my application. Nepal was great and I really enjoyed my time in Kathmandu. Working at Teku was more than expected. It was good that the in charge made our schedule in such a way that we could experience many different departments of the hospital. Working with 2 other interns from Spain, we had great fun while learning new things all the time. Uma our host mother took real care of us and the food and accommodation were basic but nice..
