What is your favorite travel memory?

I would have to say that my favorite travel memory was going to Australia with my parents when I was 13. I had always wanted to go to Australia because of the fact that the weather and the culture was so different from Europe. My parents rented a caravan and we visited a lot of different cities such as Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. The thing I liked the most about visiting Australia was having the opportunity to swim across the Great Barrier Reef, I was really impressed by all the beautiful different colors and the variety of the fish I was able to swim with.

Which destination is most underrated? Conversely, which is most overrated?

I do think that China is still underrated at the moment. I sometimes have the feeling that some people still have the wrong idea of China even if this is changing. I think that the Chinese culture is so different from the European culture or the American culture, that you learn a lot about yourself when you travel to China. There are so many different things to visit in China and a lot of different landscapes from one region to another that really adds something special while visiting the country.

It is difficult for me to say that a destination is overrated because of the fact that I sincerely think that while travelling in any country you will also have the opportunity to learn new things about yourself and about a new culture. Travelling makes you evolve as a person that is why I could not say that a destination is overrated.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

I think that the biggest factor in being a successful company would have to be teamwork. I think teamwork is crucial because of the fact that it is important to have excellent communication with your colleagues. If you have good teamwork in your company, I believe that important information will not be forgotten. What is also great with teamwork is that the work atmosphere is great, you are able to ask for your colleagues opinion, thanks to that the work you are able to provide is of better quality.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Working for Absolute Internship has been an awesome experience because your opinion is always taken into account. You are always free to suggest something that you think could improve the way the company works. I think this is great because you are able to be creative. This has built up my confidence. Another thing that is great is that you have responsibilities from the beginning, this has taught me to handle pressure and to always strive to do my best for the company.

Describe a time when you felt especially proud to be part of your current team.

A couple of weeks ago, Forbes magazine wrote an article about my company, according to Forbes, Absolute Internship is one of the best companies in offering internships for students. I was thrilled to hear that such an important magazine spoke about our company and recognized publicly that we were doing a good job in helping students find their dream internship.
