Physiotherapist by profession, Ribha is always keen to interact with the people with different backgrounds. Born and brought up in the mountains, she is well indulged in local traditions and customs and happy to exchange cultural views.

What is your favorite travel memory?

My favorite travel memory is camping at Triund. The peace and the mountains, and the view was fantastic. The sunset and sunrise from that peak cannot be described in words. A fresh breeze just to rejuvenate your soul.

A well spent day and night at the tent was a memorable one. The food was prepared by the guide and open dinner with raw nature was amazing. Trekking up and down was quite an adventure too. There were paragliders also to give an extra punch of adventure.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Volunteering Journeys has really helped me to grow into a different individual. The interaction with people from different parts of the world is something that gives you the pleasure of knowing the entire world.

It's the exposure to different cultures and customs. I think working with Volunteering Journeys is just not work, it's part of my life where I can see myself growing day by day.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I would choose community work at Thailand, because there you can see marine life and educate children. It's one of the best projects which includes almost everything.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

The best thing about our company is its transparency. Anyone who joins it gets more than what he/she expects. The director and the staff members are so emotionally attached to the programs, they try their best to give everything they can in the few days or months. The local food, culture, ceremonies, medical, education, the students are presented with almost every aspect of the town they choose.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

It's the hard work and emotional touch of each and every staff member. The will to make volunteers happy and satisfied is the main goal of everyone who is involved. I am glad I am a part of Volunteering Journeys.
