Did YOU work abroad?! If so, where and what inspired you to go?

Sara: I did and I loved it! My passion has always been in marine conservation and so I decided to head out and live the dream working overseas in this sector.

I headed off to Honduras to gain experience in marine conservation techniques and gain my PADI Divemaster and then went on to work managing conservation projects off a remote island in Fiji! There is nothing like a tropical island to wake up too and start your working day on.

What country have you always wanted to visit?

Sara: I've always wanted to visit the Galápagos Islands. Studying Zoology at University gave me a thirst for this place because it is so rich in biodiversity and the wildlife there is unprecedented by anywhere else in the world.

Why is language learning and cultural immersion important to you?

Sara: When you visit another country the best way to see it in its element is to immerse yourself in its culture. This way you get to experience things that tourists wouldn't and see the real side of that country - explore the hidden paths and live like the locals!

What was your favorite traveling experience?

Sara: My favourite travelling experience has to be when I went to Madagascar on my gap year fresh out of school. It was my first travelling experience away and it was the biggest cultural immersion I've had by far!

I went through a volunteering company who took us across the country to then set up base doing marine conservation in Southern Madagascar, and to be based on a remote island diving every day and living with a bunch of your brand new friends was just the most incredible experience.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

Sara: I believe that for a company to be successful in this industry you have to have people who believe in what the company any represents and are truly passionate about their experiences and enthusing others.

This is what makes a company stand out - when you know that you are being looked after by people that really care about giving you the best experience and are fanatical about travelling themselves!
