Did YOU intern abroad?! If so, where and what inspired you to go?
Halie: I interned in London as a marketing and communications assistant in the fall after I graduated from university. Having studied abroad for two years, I made it my goal to return to London as a young professional.
I wanted to experience living in such a vibrant and exciting city without the safety net of classes to fill my days with. Instead, I spent my time in a challenging internship which built on my existing skills and helped me to develop new ones.
What country have you always wanted to visit?
Halie: The countries I most want to visit are Egypt or Peru. I find ancient history fascinating and would love to explore either country’s historic sites. Nothing in the United States comes close; I love the rich and deep history attached to both countries.
What was your favorite traveling experience?
Halie: My favorite traveling experience was skydiving in Interlaken, Switzerland last year. Falling out of the sky at 13,000 feet above the Swiss Alps was a feeling that will never be matched and something that I will never forget. The sky and lakes were perfectly clear and the snow and grass on the mountains really stood out against the hillsides. Plus, I got to cross something off my bucket list!
