Job Description

Ninth Wave Global are offering internships for writers and journalists of all career stages to develop their skills in a unique setting, working through local, national and international media channels while immersed in community projects in the city of Campeche, south-east Mexico.

As part of these interships, you'll cover diverse local initiatives while working as part of an international team, gain experience as a research assistant working on politics and current affairs supporting Talk Radio's (UK) Latin America correspondent, and interact with local television stations and develop content for online and print outlets.

Opportunities for pieces will cover a broad scope, from political events, travel writing, environmental news and arts journalism to promotional copy, funding documents, content for online communities and research reports.

Internships are flexible and can be adapted from 3 weeks up to 4 months.
As this is a residential internship with a non-profit organisation, a reasonable contribution is required to cover costs related to this.
