Overview of Position
We’re looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Test Prep Teachers to join our qualified team of educators and mentors. As a Test Prep Teacher, you will be responsible for preparing young students for the exams critical for gaining entry into top boarding schools, universities, and colleges. Your general responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, creating individualized training and testing plans for families, teaching specialized Test Prep classes, mentoring students, grading assignments, evaluating students’ progress with weekly updates and term-end report cards, and planning educational activities.
You should be a competent professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who can mentor and build rapport with our students. Our ideal candidate would also be optimistic and enthusiastic, bringing positive energy to our company culture.
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop and issue educational content including notes, tests, and assignments.
Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment.
Organize supplies and resources for lectures and presentations.
Deliver personalized instruction to each student by encouraging interactive learning.
Plan and implement educational activities and events.
Prepare and distribute periodic progress reports and term report cards.
Maintain strong parent relationships and facilitate parent-teacher meetings.
Evaluate and document students’ progress.
Allocate and grade homework, assignments, and tests.
Create instructional resources for use in the classroom
Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities
Meet course and program student performance goals
Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures
Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
Create lesson plans and curriculum and modify accordingly throughout the year
Maintain strict attendance
Read and stay abreast of current topics in education
Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans
Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served
Develop incentives to keep participants in class
Develop professional relationships with other agencies and programs
Tutor students on an individual basis as necessary
Teach up to 40 hours a week

Test Prep specialties - SAT I, SAT II Subject Tests, ACT, IELTS, TOEFL, SSAT, AP, IB, Subject Tutoring

Experience with any of the following:
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Well-organized with excellent leadership abilities
Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
