Job Qualifications
- Educational Degree: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or other related field is required. Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred.
- Experience: Two-three years leadership experience and five years teaching in a professional child centered environment is required, preferably in an international setting. Knowledge of The Reggio Emilia Approach and Project Based Learning is required.
- Skills: Must have exceptional management and leadership skills. Must be able to work in a diverse team situation and supervising capacity. Must have excellent organization, communication, and writing skills.
Job Description
The early years principal is the lead administrator of the school and handles a variety of tasks essential to the overall functioning of the school. The early years principal manages staff, oversees daily operations, and creates policies. The early years principal handles problems with staff, children, and parents. They develop curriculum and ensure that lessons are planned and taught in line with the school’s philosophy and core values. Other duties include teaching classes as needed, managing the school budget, and facilitating admissions.
