Company Description

We are a small team of diligent educators working to help students achieve their dream of higher education in America. Students come to us as stepping stones on their path to becoming independent thinkers. Our teachers hone the skills used in English language arts and quantitative analysis for students preparing to enter academic environments where critical thinking and problem-solving skills are crucial. This means that we put great emphasis on helping students become independent learners who are equipped with strategies for facing challenges unprecedented in their own lives.

We are focused on preparing students for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, and TOEFL, but we also focus heavily on applying the skills for exam success toward academic achievement in areas beyond them. We also mentor students in broadening their experience with English literature and improving their craft in creative and argumentative writing.

Our team closely collaborates together in one another’s professional development to improve students’ educational outcomes. We apply the growth mindset in the classroom with our students and also with ourselves to reflect on how to better improve our contribution to the profession of education. We hope to add another member who can contribute critical feedback and unique expertise to complement our growing team.

Job Description

Our students are in need of a dedicated, creative, and insightful teacher to prepare students for future success in college. Teachers in our team specialize in the instruction of an academic domain required for admission into an institution of higher learning. A passion for education, acuity in abstract thinking, and patience for working with astute and highly motivated students are necessary attributes in the teacher who we hope to include in our association of determined instructors. We strive to support students in their endeavor to extract the wisdom needed to face many academic and social challenges instead of rote learning to overcome a single obstacle.

You will be responsible for teaching and designing curriculum for SAT/ACT Standardized Test Preparation and English Language Arts classes. A highly desirable candidate for this position brings a variety of strategies for students to create reliable tools needed to problem solve in high stress testing environments. This candidate is able to adapt to diverse learning styles amongst students and guides them to reach for higher and more rigorous standards of achievement. In English Language Arts classes, this candidate uses instructional tools to deeply understand each student’s unique attributes and fosters their strengths through contact with a wide range of English literature and language sources.

Other duties include leading the creative development of curriculum in your academic domain, working in conjunction with colleagues to ensure efficient learning experiences, and contributing to the professional development of your team. You will be responsible for assessing the academic performance and development of students and meeting with parents and colleagues to refine and complete the education experience.
