On the Mark Education is looking for native English language teachers to join our team and teach communicative English to our adult students in Yangon, Myanmar.
Students at our centers in Yangon are typically at least 16 years old. They are students, who perhaps want to study abroad, or young professionals who are looking to further their careers. They are motivated to learn English because they know that it will change their lives, and recognize that it is an essential skill for their career development. Levels range from beginner right through to advanced and all students are clearly placed at the correct level to ensure that they are studying alongside students with the same ability.
Class sizes are kept small, to an average of 6 students per class, which helps to ensure that real progress is made by all and allows for easy classroom management. Sometimes, teachers will have optional extra classes with 20+ students in open social activities. Lessons are made up of a variety of teaching materials and are designed to be engaging and communicative. Teachers guide students through both controlled practice and authentic conversation activities. All lesson materials are already in place; so minimal lesson planning is required. Teachers will teach maximum of 30 teaching hours per week with 2 fixed consecutive days off during the week.
