Job Description

• Responsible to revise the educational content in relevance to the school’s curriculums.
• Responsible to validate all WESC educational content of fieldtrips at least two weeks prior to the fieldtrip.
• Responsible to train with WESC experts, the staff on educational techniques and links to school curriculums.
• Responsible to deliver the fieldtrip (activities and knowledge) to the participants coming to the WESC Centre.
• Responsible to read the leader’s file and activities before the fieldtrip and inquire about issues that are not understood.
• Responsible to integrate MI (Multiple Intelligence) and simplify the information for the students to understand.
• Responsible to follow WESC’s philosophies of inquiry based learning, thinking outside the box and critical thinking, all under the umbrella of fun learning.
• Work in close collaboration with the Senior and Elementary School Coordinators to develop new fieldtrips if needed.
• Responsible to locate the documents relevant to the fieldtrips and identify all items required for delivering the fieldtrip.
• Adapt and communicate to all students the content of the day suitable for the age group and ensure the wellbeing of the students.
• During the day of the field trip, the leader is responsible to escort the students to and from the bus during their arrival and departure, and to stay with their students group during lunchtime.
• Responsible to model all WESC behaviors to inspire the other leaders, as well as the students and their teachers.
• When dealing with the students, the leader is responsible to be organized, engaging and have control of the group.
• Discipline of the students is to be taken to a certain limit. Leader should be aware of and implement, when needed, WESC’s Zero Tolerance Policy.
• Leader should have knowledge of WESC accident policy and implement it, if needed.
• It is the responsibility of the leader to ensure that all students are treated fairly, that there is no physical contact with students, and that there are no preferences.
• At the end of the fieldtrip, the leader is responsible to report about the strong points and shortcomings of the fieldtrip, which is to be written in the fieldtrip planner.
