Excellent Educa Russian Language School!

This school was really perfect for me. Teachers and managers were always kind to me. I learned Russian so fast with Educa. We spoke a lot in Russian with my teacher. And now I have a very good level of Russian. I had individual online lessons by using the platform Zoom. In the future I want to come back to Russia and have lessons at Educa also. Now I have Upper Intermediate level and it is wonderful! By the way I want to continue my lessons with my friends because I told them about Educa school. So
Thank you for great knowledge!

A Wonderful Educa School!

I have been studying since May, I have completed one course of intensive Russian program and started the second course.
I like the attitude towards students and the location of the school. Classes are interesting and informative. I am very glad that I trusted the feedback of other students and applied to the Educa school, as I wanted to improve my initial level of Russian. Thanks to my teacher Maria and manager Regina for helping in different questions during my study at school.
I definitely recommend this school !!!!

I really recommend

I really recommend this place, the facilities and teaching methods are wonderful here. I’ve been to different places in Russia before, but Saint Petersburg is the most beautiful city, not only in Russia but in the world. There`s a lot of fun things to do, a lot of things to see. I loved the teachers, they where very good and EDUCA’s location is superb, close to Newsky Prospect and Hermitage – all the tourists are coming to see the beauties around the school. I was there in 2019 and planning to go this year (if borders are open).

What was your funniest moment?
I met lots of nice people here and made lots of new friends.

I already understand cyrillic and even can read

I'm going to come for an intensive course of Russian in summer. I can't wait for it and I'm so excited!!!
I'm now working home office as many other people, so I decided to take up an online course with this school. I took a course of 31 lessons as they have a discount for bigger numbers of lessons and it will be enough for about 6-7 weeks of intensive learning for me. I've already had 8 lessons with Natalia and they were amazing. I already understand cyrillic and even can read. Mastering my rrrr sound now. Can you say zdravstsvute?? So much to improve now! The teacher is nice and patient, I feel that she cares about my progress and I won't let her down. Natalia, wait for me in summer! I already imagine our first meeting!

Highly recommended!!!

It took some time for me to research and decide on the best school to learn Russian but after seeing the location and contacting other students I’m glad I chose Educa. I had so many questions and Galina was so kind, detailed and quick to respond that I knew I wouldn’t have to worry. I studied Russian many years ago so I am starting from a basic level and from day 1 my teacher Polina went full-immersion mode and only used English when it was necessary. There are great activities planned and I am looking forward to them. With the student id you get discounts and free entries to many places around the city including the breathtaking Hermitage Museum. My experience is positive so far and I will be staying for 1 month.

Why did you choose this program?

I have chosen the program as I Iove Slav culture. I have been traveling through east Europe for quite a while, but I was never able to speak the language. Russian is spoken by millions of people and it is kind of cool to be able to communicate to them. I have also joined the internship program here to both enhance the level of Russian and my resume.

What did your program provider (or university) assist you with, and what did you have to organize on your own?

I only bought plane tickets to Russia. I also decided to rent a flat on my own, but they can provide accommodation as well. I’m staying in Russia for a much longer time than courses and I need to live in different places during it.

The school helped with the rest of my stay. I’m on a group course in Russian and the internship. The materials are provided by the school, they even gave me a pack of different things that included the branded notebook and a pen, so I didn’t need to bring anything, just come to school.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

Try to make the most of your say here and don’t miss classes. Do all the homework so that you could really learn Russian. Ask teachers for help if you don’t understand something. My teacher really motivates; she is always eager to give advice.

It is very easy to be distracted from the studies as there are so many cool things in Saint Petersburg, but don’t forget that you have afternoons and off days for that!

What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?

I wake up at 9 and come to classes at 10. After lessons, I go to Hermitage as I am on an internship there. We have different creative projects; right now I’m making illustrations. After the Hermitage, I often go for a walk or go home to do my homework. I’ve improved quite a bit now in Russian and I think it’s because I put much effort into it.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

I have been abroad many times, but this time is a conscious decision to improve my skills and learn the Russian language. This experience helps me to improve my skills in the spheres I am interested in and it makes me proud.

After living among Russian people, I understand Russian culture and habits better, so I think it really changes me.

What would you be doing now if you weren’t on the program?

I would probably stay at home and do nothing or just work part-time. Of course, this is not what I want; that’s why I am here.

Travelling is always a leap to something different, something better in your life. I would never prefer a regular life to the ability to visit another country.
