TEFLPROS experience

It’s sometimes difficult to choose among different internet sites when it comes to invest money in your future ; As an English teacher for 4 years, I was still lacking elements to become a great teacher and I wanted also to be able to get a certificate allowing me to teach to kids, teens or adults anywhere in the world. Teflpros was my solution even if I didn’t know anything about them. When speaking for the 1st time with Whitney my teacher, I realized right away that Teflpros is a reliable and serious company because as a professional you can feel when someone knows what he/she is talking about. I always got an aswer ASAP to all my requests, the program was very helpful and well structured. The people are open, approachable, (always a good atmosphere during the live sessions). I was able to advance at my own path with all the advices I needed, with no pressure and assistance whenever I wanted. After getting the certificate, I still got suggestions, advices and directions to get a job. So, it’s very reassuring that once the training period is over, you find support.
I am very confident that anyone who follows the program, the guidance, methods and methodology of Teflpros will succeed in being a good teacher and finding a job without a shadow of a doubt. Special thanks to Whitney who is a very nice teacher full of goodwill and attention and very efficient. I wish her team the very best because it was a very fulfilling experience studying at Teflpros.

TEFLPros 120-Hour Online Course

Mostly, at first, I thought that the course would just be a set of instructions and that I'd be able to finish it quickly but, surprisingly, everything in the course was very helpful and for sure going to be useful for teachers like me, who are only just beginning with their journey as ESL Teachers. I liked that at every module, you're always presented with tips or advice at the end, the little things that can certainly help you become a good, successful teacher. They really do make sure that you'll be able to know everything as much as possible in order to prepare you for the real thing.

Tefl pros is perfect

The vidéos are very well executed. Many different approach by different teachers. This was very helpfull. I really loved the passion that goes into the didactique. We are not just teachers, but human beings learning to self reflect. It's very human to build the course around the student interaction and not the teacher. The course was very complete. I feel more mature and ready to take on a whole class. I would love for this to become mandatory. It's a great personal experience. We become better teachers, but better human beings before anything.

What was your funniest moment?
Whitney made a little mistake during the montage and it was cute :)

TEFLPros is the best program! Stop looking.

I looked at many different programs, all with numerous options and cost factors. Just when I was feeling overwhelmed because I still wasn't finding just what I was looking for, I came across TEFLPros. After seeing their program outline, learning more about the founders and understanding their practical skill component, I was excited. The best part and what convinced me my searching was over, was the video component of the program where the skills being taught are demonstrated by seasoned teachers! The combo of practical skill development and the videos made this an easy decision!

If you read the program details you'll see and agree that the program is exactly what any new teacher needs and one that fully prepares them for a TEFL career.

The format is very easy to work with and is organized with multiple learning methods and practical skill development experiences, and of course the videos.

This program also excels because of how Jos and Whitney, and staff support their students. This is done within the program itself and with timely responses to all inquiries. It's clear they genuinely care about their students' success with their program.

As a more senior person, I can't express my gratitude enough for this program. With TEFLPros you get everything you need to have the skills to be successful, the support to address any concerns/questions along the way and the assurance you have been well trained and are ready to be a TEFL teacher.

Thanks again, Jos and Whitney!!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Ensure you take your lesson planning seriously and learn all you can from the teacher videos! They are worth taking the time to learn from experienced teachers. You'll be glad you did and you'll be confident that you are ready to teach when you complete the program.

Helpful content and great support. Thanks TEFLPros!

My boyfriend and I spent a lot of time looking through different courses and the thing I loved about TEFLPros was the really personalized feel about everything - like they knew exactly how we were feeling as new potential teachers and what our real concerns were. The thing that really was the icing on the cake with these guys was their support. I have a LOT of questions and Abby, their academic coordinator, was responsive and super helpful. Even if she wasn't sure about something, she found the answer and got back to me. I never got an automated response/email to my questions. (I'm on their mailing list and that's different because it's more about resource etc.)

I also liked that TEFLPros was really straightforward from start to finish. I felt like looking at the other courses, they all blended together into one nameless, faceless marketing email. But TEFLPros had a human component in their operations that everything else seemed to kind of lack. This was also the case on the actual course. The co-founders are the two main instructors on the course (8 teachers in total) and there are almost 50 hours of instructional video so it feels almost like as if I were in a real classroom. Actually a lot of those hours, like probably more than 15, were in real classrooms.

Overall, I feel really prepared and I'm excited to start teaching online (my boyfriend already started!) and maybe teach in-person in the future. Thanks for a great first step TEFLPros :)

What is your favorite travel memory?

Arriving in Bangkok for the first time aged 20. It was the first time I had been outside Europe and my life changed in that moment. I have now travelled to over 40 different countries but my memory of that first day will never leave me. From that moment, I always knew that I would travel as much as possible for the rest of my life.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

opportunity to develop my professional skills but also make new friends and grow as an individual. I also consider work-life balance to be an important factor of any job - something which I am currently achieving. I also love working with an international team who have a global perspective. I am also financially stable and feel I am at the right stage of my career for my age.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

I am always thrilled when people move to a new country for a year but end up staying for an indefinite period and making a life for themselves in a place they had never thought it would happen. One student is now a long-term resident of Bangkok and engaged to her Thai boyfriend. I can't wait for the wedding!

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

The 120-hour TEFL course gives aspiring teachers the platform which they need to move abroad and start a new career. While nothing can fully prepare you for what it will be like in the classroom, a solid TELF course is an excellent grounding. It's the foundations of your career and gives you the confidence to step into the classroom.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

Jocelyn and Whitney are true professionals and passionate about their work. I have known them both for many years before they started the TEFL PROS company and their dedication and skill-set for the industry clear was always evident. For them it is not just a business but a way of life as they know the joys of travelling and living abroad.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

The most important factor is believing in your product. If you have a strong interest and a passion for what you are doing, the rest, the long hours, hard work, and dedication it takes to make a company successful will be a lot of fun and an enjoyable journey. Additionally, you cannot be deterred by short-term failure.
