A Fulfilling Volunteer Experience

My time with Kukua Pamoja Tanzania in the calendar year 2022 was deeply fulfilling and eye-opening. From the first contact, I found the organization’s team to be incredibly welcoming and passionate about their cause. Their dedication to empowering women through sustainable initiatives is truly inspiring. During my volunteering days, I helped out with fundraising campaigns, social media outreach, marketing the women’s products, and providing training on business skills and enhancing handmade crafts. One of the most touching moments was witnessing the women preparing their crafts at their stalls, full of hope and pride. The logistical arrangements, including airport pickups and transfers, were smooth and comfortable, making my arrival and departure hassle-free. The orientation sessions provided a comprehensive understanding of their projects, which allowed me to contribute meaningfully. I appreciated how approachable and friendly the staff was—they made me feel like part of the family. My first day included a guided city tour of Arusha, giving me a deeper appreciation for the local culture. The women’s empowerment project, coupled with the business training, left a lasting impact on me. During my free time, I explored the local markets and went on a safari trip organized by the NGO, which was a highlight of my trip. This experience has motivated me to stay engaged and continue supporting their important work from afar. I highly recommend this volunteer program to anyone looking for a meaningful and adventurous experience during 2022.
