With our wide portfolio of program types and locations we’re confident there is a suitable and accessible program for each student. Accommodations abroad can be complex and take time, so those with accessibility needs should inform WorldStrides of any accommodations requests as early as possible in the advising process.

Sustainability
We have partnered with Fill it Forward to engage team members and program participants in waste reduction practices. The goal is to encourage the elimination of single-use waste. Every QR code scan shows the impact of reusable bottles and unlocks a donation to environmental impact groups.

Program Highlights
- Costa Rica's official and predominant language is Spanish. There are also at least five living indigenous languages spoken by the descendants of pre-Columbian peoples: Maléku, Cabécar, Bribri, Guaymí, and Bugle.
- San José, or Chepe, as it is lovingly called by locals, is the political, economic, and cultural hub of Costa Rica.
- San José is a great place to try traditional foods as well as explore beautiful theaters and museums, such as the Gold and Jade Museum. It has plazas with free activities on weekends such as dances, concerts, and yoga classes.
- The University is renowned for its design, art, architecture and photography programs
- Open to students at all levels of Spanish - enroll in both Spanish language courses and electives taught in either English or Spanish
