About Program
With its tropical rainforests, beautiful beaches, and friendly people, it’s no wonder Costa Rica is known as the “happiest place on earth.” During this two-week summer adventure, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself in the laid-back “tico” (Costa Rican) lifestyle while exploring the country’s spectacular landscape and vibrant history.
You and your group of U.S. high schoolers will learn about the indigenous culture of the region and join in workshops on traditional dancing and mask-making. You can also enjoy some delicious meals like olla de carne (beef stew with potatoes, onions, and vegetables) or gallo pinto (rice and beans).
