About

The Africa Study Centre is a non-profit organization that provides professional internship programs for university and college students, as well as gap year programs. The Centre will serve students from Europe and America interested in having a professional work study abroad experience in Africa, especially those interested in studying African heritage, history, music, and culture.

The Africa Study Centre facility is operated at the YMCA Computer Training Centre and Digital Studio the Africa Study Centre programs runs twelve months of the year, and colleges/universities and groups can book the Centre for use at any time throughout the year.

Below, are the descriptions of our two core programs: the Gambia Professional Internship program for college students and our African Heritage Program and Gap year program.
