About

Athena's Japan program is an amazing way to learn the customs and history of Japan first-hand. The two city program includes Tokyo and Kyoto. Students are able to learn and study at both cities! A full summer in Japan consists of students attending the Tokyo June session, followed by the Kyoto July session.

Students will get to experience many different field trips when going abroad with Athena. We offer trips in Tokyo and Kyoto to many different temples, markets, gardens, and parks. We also have included trips in the past to the Tokyo Animation Center, Meiji Shrine, Chinatown, the Buddhist secret mountain Hiei Zan, the Gion Festival, and much more!

Students will travel to Kyoto in July where they will have the opportunity to experience the traditional Gion festival, which in an annual festival that allows students and visitors to truly experience the Japanese culture!
