About Program

Go International | Stay Local

Join the Sustainable Economic and Community Development virtual study abroad program and digitally immerse in an interdisciplinary topic.
In this program, you will engage with Belizeans remotely to practice problem-solving skills and cultural understanding.

This 3-weeks online study abroad program includes community service projects that are meaningful and contribute to a rural community in Belize.

Prior to the pandemic, developing countries grappled with many challenges making it difficult for its citizens to achieve sustainable community development and economic success. The pandemic exacerbated this crisis.

Digitally immerse yourself in a program that offers real-world experience and learn from an international group of experts in the field of economics, agriculture, sustainability, and public policy in Belize.

Join us next summer to serve, learn, and explore a unique sustainable development experience virtually.

This program is currently not being promoted on Go Overseas by its provider. Check with Toucan Education Programs for the most up-to-date information regarding the status of this program.
