Spend a semester or year in the cosmopolitan and culturally rich city of St. Petersburg, Russia. Earn up to 18 credits through a variety of courses studying at St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University. Courses are taught in English or Russian, and no previous Russian language study is required.
Students study Russian language, and take electives in English in art history, history, political science, literature and sociology. Volunteer opportunities are also available.
Live in a homestay or a student residence hall. You'll enjoy cultural and social activities such as visits to the many museums and cultural sites of St. Petersburg, a boat trip along the canals, and classical music, opera and ballet performances. A 3-day visit to Moscow is included along with day trips to Pushkin, Peterhof, Novgorod, and Pavlovsk. AIFS offers a 4-day optional excursion Helsinski, Finland and Tallinn, Estonia.
