MIIS: MA in Translation & Interpretation

The translation and interpretation programs at the Monterey Institute offer the world's best training at the highest levels of international diplomacy, business, and technology. The MA in Translation prepares students for the translation of the written word. The MA in Conference Interpretation perfects skills in consecutive and simultaneous interpretations, enabling seamless multilingual communication. The MA in Translation and Interpretation develops skill sets in both oral and written communication, enabling graduates to master both translation and consecutive interpretation. Spanish T&I students may also elect to pursue a specialization in Spanish Community Interpreting. The MA in Translation and Localization Management builds strong translation skills, accompanied by business administration and project management expertise, to assist industries with localizing their products and services for a global market.
