Salary / Benefits

CIEE teachers in Hungary earn a monthly salary of 340,000 HUF (appox. $1,180).

The cost of living in Hungary is much lower than in the United States and your salary should easily cover normal living expenses. If you’re hoping to travel a great deal during your time off you should plan to bring additional funds.

Teachers receive at least 18 paid holidays.

About Program

CIEE partners with a well-respected local organization that runs innovative English programs in Budapest. In both pre-school and elementary schools, their mission is to give students the opportunity to grow and develop as English speakers by giving them a natural language learning environment. Your goal will be to help students build an active command of English, so they can express themselves confidently.

All CIEE participants will teach at both the preschool and elementary school levels.
