TEFL Certification Made Fun and Easy!

This course has helped me broaden my career path as an English teacher in my hometown. Overall, the content of the course is complete but very condensed and logical. Lessons are divided into modules with topics covering English teaching, whether in the classroom or online. In addition to vocabulary, grammar, and English skills, you can also learn how to plan lesson plans, arrange classrooms or motivate students. I don't have much time but completed the course in about one month, very fast and convenient. In short, the course is very useful and the cost is reasonable.

When I purchased my ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd certification course the pandemic was happening and I was wanting to get qualified to teach English so I could further my education and start working because at the time I had lost my job (service industry).

The course was terrible - just a few videos and some clunky text - and my tutor was the guy who runs the program. James Dwyer.

It was so bad that I asked for a refund and James said it wasn't possible because of the pandemic. I immediately smelt a scam and contacted my bank, who managed to get my money back.

I now read online that the whole program is a scam and it is backed by a fake accreditation website and that James fakes most of the review for his TEFL programs.

ITT International TEFL and TESOL Ltd tried to scam me but I was one step ahead of the scammer. I count it as a lucky escape.

Others haven't been so lucky and have found out the hard way that a certificate from this program is now considered worthless as any employer just needs to check the program online and they will read all the customer complaints and the irrefutable evidence of this Online TEFL/TESOL certification course scam.

Buyer beware!

This program was poorly executed without feedback on progress or work submitted. I was told, if you haven’t been told something is wrong, it’s good. For all the lesson plans, paper submitted, tests completed, I never got any of my work back or any feedback on any of it. It was very frustrating to work so hard and hear nothing specific about what you have submitted. At the end of the course they just slap on an arbitrary grade for everything with no explanation. After all the work is done and submitted, there are expensive add on fees to get your certificates, that all really add up. Totally disappointed!

This course is run by some guy in England. It is NOT accredited — I actually reached out to the alleged accreditor to do some digging and IT WAS JUST THE SAME GUY WHO RUNS THE COURSE. He responded with his email address, confirmed the accreditation, and just signed a different name at the bottom. If that's not enough information for you I'm not sure what else you need but more info below.

I can't believe I was dumb enough to buy this (but at the time I was desperate to accomplish something during quarantine). There are no real lessons or courses; each module is literally just a video from YouTube but with no link or credit to the creator.

I requested a refund months ago, the guy replied to say I'd get it minus a fee, and then nothing ever came and then he stopped replying. DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR MONEY.

*Update: the response to my review is a flat out lie. I did NOT wait seven days to request a refund and I'm sure he knows that. I bought the course on May 2 and requested the refund on May 4. After I didn't get it, he said they can't issue refunds during COVID (like that makes sense). So I followed up again about it later and he has ignored me ever since. I uploaded photos showing the dates.

Signed up Jan 24 and received access within minutes. After evaluating the course for 30 minutes, I decided it was not for me. This is their reply: "We can refund you but there will be a charge of $19 for assigned tutor fees"
****The website says 14 days money back guarantee. ***
I question the fee but whatever I just wanted out. This is what they sent me:
"Okay I will pass it on to our finance team and you should receive the refund by next week. May I ask why you want the refund, so I can pass that on, thank you"

To my amazement I was asked when I requested a refund. So I sent them the history of the emails I sent.
Today is MARCH 7 2020 and I have yet to receive my money and an apology for the delay and lack of customer service. So I am writing this so I can save you a headache and some money.

Hey fellow teachers wanting to become TEFL certified. If you are thinking about taking the ITT TEFL course, for teaching abroad or online, then I highly recommend this company. They do every thing very professionally and respond very quickly to any concerns. The course itself is very informative and user friendly. No need to be a technical wizard as everything is easy to follow. I like the fact that there are no fixed schedule, you simply login in your spare time and complete lessons. I'm very happy to be now teaching on two different platforms and looking forward to the future when I may teach in Dubai.

I signed up for this program because it seemed like the best value for your money, but I was wrong - it has absolutely no value. Worst customer service experience I have ever had. The company was completely useless in terms of anything related to getting the certificate authorized for visa purposes, which is really the only reason anybody needs it. I sent countless emails to customer service & got crickets - until I asked for my money back, & then suddenly somebody was there ro say no, sorry, no matter what we are keepimg your money. Do yourself a favor & pay a little more for a better certificate through a better company. Don't make my mistake.

If you will have any problem, you will be ignored. I was confused about one question on the test and asked them three times to help. No response. The only thing they care about is money. Just send us the tests done, we'll send your certificate and go away dude.
If you don't like being ignored, choose someone else. The market is huge and these guys surely are the worst. I will be surprised if my notarized copy that I paid 199$ for, will even arrive.
I can only hope for it now.
Not even talking about how the webiste looks like it comes from 1996 and the tests are just odt documents.
