Video and Photos

Footprints Recruiting, in conjunction with Partners of the Americas and SENA (Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje) - a Colombian Government agency - are recruiting paid volunteer English teachers on an ongoing basis for the The Teach English Colombia (TEC) Program. The objective of this program is to improve bilingualism in Colombia.

Volunteer teachers teach adults in SENA centers across Colombia. Volunteers receive a stipend roughly equivalent to USD $400 per month, plus housing or a rent stipend. Teachers work approx. 40 hours per week, 20 hours of teaching, 15 hours of prep and 5 hours of informal discussion.

Teachers pay for their own airfare, and receive a two day orientation in Bogata. Candidates must be native English speakers, with 120 hours of TESL certification, have a BA and one year of teaching experience. Spanish ability is not required but is a plus.

Positions are available on an ongoing basis - from 3-6 months in total.
